MISSIONS

The main goal of the Missions Committee in representing Carson United Methodist Church is to show our Love, Care and Concern for those in our community as well as those who represent us in perilous situations throughout the world.

Please contact Ms. Jean Sharp, our Missions Coordinator if you have any questions or comments.

Carson United Methodist Church offers abundant Mission Opportunities: Martha's Ministry in Petersburg can always use canned food donations and Plastic/paper bags.

Our church has supported "Martha for the Homeless" for many years. At this time there are critical needs for this ministry. Please consider donating or contributing a gift card or a check to be used to purchase food.

Martha is located at: 117 Elm Street Petersburg, Virginia 23803

Also, Carson United Methodist Church supports the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Committee on Relief – UMCOR – assists United Methodists and churches to become involved globally in direct ministry to persons in need. UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human-caused disasters – famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire or other events—to alleviate suffering and serve as a source of help and hope for the vulnerable. UMCOR provides relief, response and long-term recovery grants when events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own. UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery, and long-term health and development. Carson United Methodist Church also supports the local Carson Food Bank with periodic food and monetary donations. See below:
